About Shanna:

Shanna spent her early childhood dancing and playing sports. She grew up in a spiritual household in Ohio and spent a lot of time writing and reading personal development books. In her late teens, she found yoga which was a perfect marriage of movement and spirituality. In 2009 she became a 200-hour Power Yoga Teacher and she practiced yoga for many years. However, it was after going through cancer treatment that Shanna found herself guided to the practice of Qoya and it has truly changed her life. She knew the moment she read about Qoya and took her first on-line class that she wanted to become a Qoya teacher. She wanted women to experience the same power and transformation that she had. The power of Qoya is indescribable and is something that must be felt and experienced. Qoya is movement as medicine. It has the power to impact your body, mind, spirit and soul. Shanna became a Certified Qoya Teacher in 2018.

She believes movement is a powerful way to help women move from their head to their heart, to cultivate a more empowered relationship with their bodies and life. Shanna thinks of herself as a sacred space holder-creating a sacred safe space for women to trust their own experience and use their body as a guide to embody their truest expression. Shanna's mission is to empower women through movement and inquiry to remember their essence, discover their truth and live life on their own terms.

Shanna is a free-spirited Sagittarius who enjoys reading, playing outside, traveling, aerial yoga, cooking vegan food, learning, chanting, dancing and spending time with her family.

Join Shanna Tabatcher, Certified Qoya teacher, as you explore what it feels like in your body when you "Trust your Inner Wisdom."
What does it feel like when your trust your Inner Wisdom to guide you in life? How does this change your life? What does it feel like to live from a place of Trust instead of from a place of doubt and fear?
Qoya classes are based on the idea that
through movement we remember.
We remember our essence is wise, wild and free.
Wise: calling on the wisdom of yoga.
Wild: the creative expression in dance.
Free: expanding our capacity to enjoy being in our bodies through feminine movement.

The class is only for Women and is made up of 13 pillars and usually last 1.5 hours. The pillars incorporate sensual movement, dance and yoga. How can we use movement as a way to deepen our relationship to ourself. Qoya teaches us how to connect and listen to our bodies in order to begin experiencing life differently! We begin to experience life in a way that’s more in alignment with who we are. We begin to live life more in tune with our Inner Wise Woman and what we truly desire!

Three mottos of Qoya are:

1.) Come as who you are and leave as more of who you are.

2.) It doesn’t matter how it looks, it only matters how it feels.

3.) There is no way to do it wrong, and how you know that you're doing it right is that is feels good in your body.

The other thing I love about Qoya is that during each class there are opportunities to talk with our sisters to build a sense of community!
